CRYOLIST is unmoderated. This means that messages sent to the list will
be automatically forwarded to all members of the list. Examples of inappropriate
messages are messages not immediately pertaining to the study of the cryosphere,
non-professional messages, messages which are directed at one or a few
individuals, or messages that may be offensive to certain individuals
or groups. No virus warnings or chain mails will be tolerated. Only subscribers
are able to post to the list. Any posts that are deemed unfit for the
list will result in the immediate removal of the sender.
Preparing messages for CRYOLIST
- Remember that CRYOLIST is international in scope and includes
members from many different cultural backgrounds
- Please be careful not to offend readers of your messages
- Avoid abbreviations and nicknames which may not be familiar
to persons in other countries
- When giving a mailing address, include the country
- Please include your name and e-mail address in the message and
how you can be reached for more information or for other replies
- Try to keep the lines in your messages less than 80 characters
long
- Please keep all messages in PLAIN-TEXT, MIME format. Do not
send messages formatted in HTML
- Finally, please DO NOT include any ATTACHMENTS!
